Most people agree that it is legitimate for jewelers to make ornaments out of raw gold, but they often deny that the same applies to the manufacture of coins. ,

I hereby announce (though I think you might have abandoned this blog- temporarily?) my efforts to bring to you Gallaudet University! I just started this fall, and I know exactly what it's missing. My undergrad had performers/comedians come every fall. Granted, it was for undergrads only and Drexel was a MUCH larger school, but I am gonna do my best!
PLEASE COME! I'll find out who I need to contact to get this ball rolling. PLEASE COME! A nice little singing standup. Makes my mouth water.

Being blessed as a CODA- one of the many perks growing up, was definitely LOUD MUSIC!

You sure can use our videos to other CODA's and KODA's, no prob!

Keep up the good work, gentlemen. I stopped following you for a bit, but now I am back in action. And things with you seem better than ever! And I could have sworn that big-earred, coked-out interpreter I met was a coda! thanks for the truth :-)

I agree with RLM. My partner's daughter was not allowed to interpret in medical situations after someone noticed she lacked qualifications, and warned the hospital they could end up in litigation if a mistake is made. She had to go to sign classes and pass exams, which exposed the fact her signing was actually quite poor ! Signing to Mum is NOT The same as acting as an interpreter. She is attending classes now and says she is struggling with all the signs she didn't know, she didn't have !

She can still attend with her mum as support, but she is NOT allowed to interprret for her. In essence I agree with that, because if an error is made, then Mum will suffer for it. Sadly it seems that her daughter is finding it very hard going, and undecided whether to carry on or leave it to the pros. Two other children by a previous marraige have virtually no sign skills at all. Not all CODA's are good signers. A lot are quite poor.
